For CHOIR - All "Big Ears" Listening examples will be posted here for the entire year. If you miss one on a Friday, please take the time to make up the assignment here. Make sure you Choir Portfolio matches the listings here and that you have a single page for each example.
For GUITAR/PIANO - All pieces that I play for your enjoyment during class, I have posted here so that you can hear them again and maybe explore the artists more fully on your own time. PIANISTS - you have all LEVEL ONE songs posted here for your learning and growth. Look for more postings, including LEVEL 2 songs, soon. You also have the complete Required Song Lists 1, 2 and 3.
For AP MUSIC THEORY students - Although LHHS does not currently offer AP Music Theory, any student can learn more about theory by simply listening to some wonderful music. My Permanent Score listening is here for your educational review. Listen to the pieces with score in hand and try not to get lost when the music moves quickly! If you don't have your scores handy, there are PDF copies available here (a few still need to be posted). This is a great place for score study! You will also find mp3 and PDF files of Common Tonal Patterns and Texture Conjecture for practice.
For UKE PLAYERS - Your page begins with the three tunes that every uke player needs to audition into the LHHS Ukulele Ensemble. After these, we have recorded simple practice tracks for you to strum along with. Not all of our
tunes are here, but we hope to add many more of our standard repertoire tunes, including holiday tunes, in the future.
Enjoy the music that is posted here and use it as a springboard for your own musical growth, development, and taste!
Happy listening!
